skoah gives back

In 2005, the skoah krew decided to focus their efforts on a special group of people - the parents of terminally ill children, skoah has recently partnered with the B.C. and Alberta Children's Hospitals. Skoah created 'the Hopeful Hand' with the monies raised, and services provided directly to the BC parent support group 'Partners in Care' and the Alberta parent support group 'Family Community Resource Centre'. Each month we invite one special parent down to skoah to experience a facial. We all need some downtime to relax and we all feel better after a facial. That's a feeling we'd like to share with a special group of people who never seem to take a single waking moment for themselves. We call it skin caring.

In addition to the services we provide, skoah hosts an annual charity gala and silent auction in the fall as well as other events throughout the year. Contact us if you'd like details on upcoming Hopeful Hand events.

hopeful hand

skoah donates 100% of the profits from the sale of our hand love to a new project called skoah's 'hopeful hand'.  The donated funds will help develop programs for coping with the difficult circumstances these parents face.  These include a yoga/relaxation studio and an education program for accessing help and community services.
